Municipal Election 2022 – Meet Your Candidates

Municipal public service has a direct impact both on the lives of residents and the livelihoods of businesses.

In an effort to connect Grimsby’s people and businesses to the important issues that shape our community, the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Meet Your Candidates evening to connect constituents with the candidates running for office.

The event takes place at The Casablanca Hotel on Thursday, October 6, with doors opening to the public at 5:00 PM.

We gathered questions from the business community and the general public in advance, and we encourage you to join us on October 6 to engage with candidate participants.

The Chamber’s Meet Your Candidates Event will include an informal meet-and-greet with all participating candidates, followed by a Q&A session with the Regional Councillor Candidates at 6:30 and then a Mayoral Debate from 7:00 – 8:10 PM. The Mayoral Debate portion of the event will be filmed and broadcast by Cogeco’s YourTV Niagara.

YourTV Niagara will have the taping available on their website (and the link will be posted on this page once available) and they will be broadcasting the recording to their cable subscribers as follows:

Monday, October 10 at 8:00 PM

Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 PM

Sunday, October 16 at 2:30 PM

The event is open to the public and free to attend.

ELECTION DAY: Monday, October 24, 2022
