Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School
Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School is located on seventeen acres at the base of the Niagara Escarpment in Grimsby, with an enrolment of approximately 1,000 students. All students wear the school uniform to provide a sense of belonging and pride in their school. The school offers a full-range of programming to meet the needs of all students.
The Catholic faith is at the core of education and integrated into the curriculum and life of the school. Students have the opportunity to give witness to their faith inside and outside of the classroom. St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church adjacent to Blessed Trinity, supports the school in a variety of ways. The clergy at St. Joseph's celebrate Mass, Reconciliation, and prayers services for the staff and students. The parish also provides retreat space and promotes events happening at Blessed Trinity.
Blessed Trinity supports all students as they pursue their chosen pathway-work, apprenticeship, college, or university-with a foundation rooted in Catholic education. The school boasts strong Communications Technology programs which focus on video, printing and design, and photography. Culinary arts are offered onsite. Students have the opportunity to enrol in the Specialist High Skills Major, a Ministry of Education initiative. The Arts Program offered at Blessed Trinity includes a strong music program as well as visual and dramatic arts. Blessed Trinity offers Special Education Programs for students with special needs and provides a variety of supports to help them be successful. English as a second language (ESL) is offered to help students whose first language is not English to integrate more fully into the school community.
The athletic and co-curricular programs at Blessed Trinity provide students with an opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of activities with like minded students. The dedicated staff at Blessed Trinity provides coaching and leadership for these diverse interests. The athletics program is competitive and students can participate in individual or team sports. The co-curricular activities available for students range from the Art Club and Eco Club to the school Reach team. The staff at Blessed Trinity believes there is something of interest for every student.
