SMEs: Collaboration Invitation from Brock University

Small or Medium Sized Business?

Your feedback will help shape Brock’s new program.

We are pleased to partner with Brock University’s Goodman School of Business on an important initiative. Brock’s Dr. Kai-Yu Wang and his team are creating programming that will help local businesses expand and improve their marketing.

HIGHLIGHTS:

·     30-60 minute (virtual) focus group

·     mid April

·     your feedback directly impacts program development

There are two ways to participate – focus group or survey.  Details of the focus groups are in Dr. Wang’s email below.  Link to the survey is here; the survey takes 10 – 15 minutes and the first 200 participants receive a $20 gift card.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our local business community to not only provide feedback on the development of Continuing Education programming, but also to contribute direct input into what they, as business owners, would find meaningful and applicable to their own business operations,” says Grimsby Chamber Executive Director Rebecca Shelley.

Please see the invitation below from Dr. Kai-Yu Wang, Professor of Marketing and Chair of Brock’s Marketing, International Business and Strategy Department.

Dear Grimsby Chamber Members,

I am currently developing a Digital Marketing Certification (DMC) program for Professional and Continuing Studies at Brock University. This program is funded by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities and aims to provide digital marketing training to learners like you in the Niagara Region.

I invite you to attend a short focus group discussion in April. The goal of the group discussion is to identify and understand the current needs and challenges that businesses and organizations in Niagara have and encounter.

Your input will provide essential information for developing a DMC program that will help the local business community to expand their businesses with an online presence and improve utilization of Internet and social media for business growth.

Once developed, the program will provide digital marketing training to existing and prospective employees. Program participants will acquire knowledge and practical skills in digital marketing, and these newly trained employees will be able to help local businesses enhance their digital and online presence.

Your feedback is very important to the success of this program.

I invite you to join this focus group discussion and share your insights. The meeting will be held virtually on MS Teams for 30 to 60 minutes.

Choose which date and time work best for you:

·     Tuesday, April 19 at 12 PM

·     Thursday, April 21 at 1 PM

Please RSVP by email to Ms. Shuang Wang. You will receive an MS Teams invite once registered. If you would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact me, I welcome your questions.

Thank you in advance for your participation, and I look forward to hearing your input!

Sincerely,

Kai-Yu Wang, Ph.D.
