Member Code of Conduct

1. Membership Duration:

   Membership with the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce will last 365 days. Members who pay monthly or quarterly are expected to maintain their membership for 12 months.

2. Membership Approval & Code of Conduct:

   The Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce holds the right to approve or cancel memberships as seen fit. Similarly, the Grimsby Chamber has the right to remove members from any events or meetings due to inappropriate conduct or behaviour towards other members or staff.

3. Professional & Ethical Conduct:

   As a member of the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce, members commit to conducting all business and professional activities in a manner that reflects honourably upon the Grimsby & District business community and fellow chamber members. Members will respect and uphold the reputation, profile, and status of the Grimsby Chamber, representing it with integrity and professionalism. Members will provide honest, skilled, and conscientious service to customers and present truthful representations in all advertising, in accordance with municipal, provincial, and federal legislation.

4. Marketing through Chamber Channels:

   Any and all materials posted by members or third parties to our online directory or social media are the sole responsibility of those who may post it (i.e. photos, promos, contact info, etc.). Materials posted are not the responsibility of the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce, nor do they necessarily reflect the views of the Chamber, its staff, or directors, unless specifically stated.

5. Use of Images:

   The Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to photograph and record its events and meetings, and from time to time will use these photos in social media, newsletters and other publications, posters, and/or graphics. By becoming a member, you understand and acknowledge that your photograph may be taken and used, per the Grimsby Chamber’s discretion.

Members commit to fostering a collaborative and respectful business environment within the Grimsby & District Chamber of Commerce, and acknowledge that failure to comply with these professional and personal obligations may result in membership termination by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
