COVID-19 Links & Resources for Businesses

The current situation is constantly changing as officials announce new support measures, best-practice recommendations, forced closures, state-of-emergencies, and other updates, and it can be overwhelming finding information relevant to your business.

We want to support our members with a consolidated list of up-to-date resources and links to help manage your business during this unprecedented time.

If you are looking for assistance to optimize your business to continue operating during this crisis, we have created a resource page for our members to highlight products and services available to help you and your business.

OpenInNiagara

The Niagara Region launched an Open In Niagara website! It is a space for businesses in Niagara to share their current operation status. The website will be promoted though the Niagara Region channels, and by us of course!

Any business that wants to participate can simply go to http://www.OpenInNiagara.ca and click on the “Add a Business” button in the upper right hand corner.

What You Can Do for Your Clients

Now, more than ever, a strong and updated online presence is essential for reaching clients and customers.

Make sure your website and social media accounts clearly communicates:

  • Changes to hours
  • Closures
  • New options for clients or customers to reach you and to shop
  • Extra safety measures your business is taking. This could include:
    • Extra sanitization
    • Curb-side pick-ups/delivery
    • Office open by appointment only
    • Limiting visitors
    • Anything else you are doing to mitigate the spread

Please share with us the impact COVID-19 has had on your business or organization. Your responses will help determine next steps and recommendations for various levels of government on relief and rebuild measures. Take the survey HERE.

What Your Chamber is Doing

Connecting with our Members

We are regularly checking in with Members to discuss the ongoing impact the pandemic is having on you, as well as immediate needs for your business. Hearing from you helps us focus our efforts on what matters to our Membership.

We are also highlighting and encouraging local businesses on social media – including on our newly launched Instagram account. We hope to provide a platform where our Members can feel supported and access resources to help their business.

Advocacy

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Ontario Chamber of Commerce are both advocating directly to government on behalf of Canadian business. We are actively engaged with both of these Chambers to provide our member feedback to help inform their advocacy efforts, ask questions, and provide you with accurate, up-to-date information.

If you have any feedback or questions you would like us to mention during the next conference call, please contact us – we’d love to hear from you.

Collaborating with Other Chambers

It’s no secret – we’re all working together! The Grimsby, Lincoln, and West Lincoln Chambers of Commerce are working collectively as the West Niagara Chambers of Commerce to bring you up to date information and access to resources.
