The Royal Canadian Legion was founded by Veterans and for Veterans. They advocate for the care and benefits for all who served Canada, regardless of when or where they served. The Legion also provides representation and assistance to Veterans, including currently serving Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, and their families, and access to services is available to them at no cost, whether or not they are Legion members. The Legion helps thousands of Veterans each year and makes significant positive changes in their lives.
Every year, The Royal Canadian Legion conducts the Poppy Campaign, along with thousands of their members who volunteer from coast to coast to coast, to raise funds in support of Veterans and their families. Poppies are distributed freely, but generous donations are invaluable.
Remembrance Day is fast approaching, and like every other part of life in 2020, COVID-19 will certainly cause a significant alteration to the traditional ceremonies and activities, including the Poppy Campaign.

There are over 1,300 branches of the Royal Canadian Legion across Canada, and about a third are close to closing in the next few months.
This year, more than any other, our local legion needs our support to ensure that they can continue their important work supporting our Veterans. We are joining Chambers across the country to support Canada’s heroes by supporting the Grimsby Legion’s Poppy Campaign.
