Election Power Hour Event Brings Grimsby’s Mayoral Candidates Together for an Evening of Conversation

We wrapped up our election event series with our Power Hour event on Thursday evening at Commisso Estate Winery, bringing all four Grimsby mayoral candidates together for a focused conversation about the future of our Grimsby and its business community.

A very special thank you to Commisso Estate Winery for being such generous and welcoming hosts. From the wine to the food, they helped create a relaxed setting for the evening and took great care of everyone who joined us.

Thank you as well to our moderator, Kevin Antonides, for guiding the conversation, and to Chamber Board Chair Daniel Vandersteen for opening the evening with remarks. We also want to acknowledge Sarah Hart from Niagara Association of Realtors (NAR) for her thoughtful opening remarks and for NAR’s and Cornerstone’s support and sponsorship of our election events.

We also want to thank all four mayoral candidates for participating, contributing respectfully to the conversation, and taking the time to answer the questions put forward throughout the evening.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who joined us. We appreciate you taking time out of your evening to be there, listen, engage, and learn more about the people putting their names forward to lead our community.

Creating opportunities for our community to connect with candidates in a non-partisan, respectful, and professional setting is an important part of the Chamber’s role during an election. We’re proud to be able to provide spaces where people can hear directly from those seeking elected office and make their own informed decisions.
